Wel een beetje vroeg in het seizoen, dus of ze wel volledig gevormd zijn staat niet vast.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"tmblr-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/woestenije.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/tumblr_inline_otor99tAWc1uzkp9v_540.jpg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Carya laciniosa, in dagelijks spraakgebruik de <em>shellbark hickory<\/em> of koningsnoot, is de meest vochtvereisende hickory. Hij groeit langzaam en is zeer schaduwtolerant. Hij vormt een dikke lange penwortel.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"tmblr-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/woestenije.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/tumblr_inline_otord23qTJ1uzkp9v_540.jpg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>De koningsnoot groeit langzaam, maar is bosbouwkundig wel aantrekkelijk omdat hij meestal een mooi lang recht en takloos stuk stam ontwikkelt. Zo ook dit exemplaar en zijn buren.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"tmblr-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/woestenije.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/tumblr_inline_otoresd7Ul1uzkp9v_540.jpg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>In de VS groeit hij van nature zuidelijker dan onze breedtegraad, maar hier in de botanische tuin stond een heel bosje van deze soort en ze zagen er allemaal mooi gezond uit.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"tmblr-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/woestenije.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/tumblr_inline_otorep7Hgz1uzkp9v_540.jpg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>De noten van de <i>laciniosa <\/i>zijn eetbaar en lekker.
